How it works
First competitors ride their dressage test. Their percentage score will be subtracted from 100 to produce their penalty score. The lower the penalty score, the higher you will be placed.
Then competitors proceed to the jumping round. The first six jumps will be showjumps, with no time limit. Faults will be awarded as usual for knockdowns and refusals.
The second half of the course will be over working hunter jumps and will be against a clock. Faults will be awarded for knockdowns and refusals and for every second that the competitor is over the optimum time.
The winner will be the competitor who has the lowest combined penalty score from both rounds.
